The Ballad of the In-Ex
to the tune of "The Ballad of Jed Clampett" (The Beverly Hillbillies)
by Rich Clingman (08/02/02)

Come and listen to my story 'bout a 'chine named "Ex".

Doc was showing me that it could help my lungs to flex.

Then one day he was suckin' up some food

And out from my lungs came a bubblin' crude.

Mucus, that is. Green slime. Food for bugs.

Well the first thing you know I suddenly could breathe.

Doc said, "Now son, you'll always cough with ease."

Said, "CoughAssist is not a thing to scoff."

So I called my RT and got myself a Cough.

Assist, that is. In-Ex. Cof-flator.

Well now it's time to say goodbye to Doc and all his staff.

And I would like to thank them all and say on their behalf:

You're all invited now to cough all that you please,

To have a heapin' helpin' of coughin' out with ease.

CoughAssist. Breathe a spell. Clean your lungs out.

Y'all have a good cough now, ya hear?
